2/26 Algebra 1 PLC Agenda

Present: Cotton, Masters, Harper, Johnson, Trent, Roy

Calendar Update: MAP windown opens 3/25.  Choosing 3/27 and 3/28 for Freshmen math and do makeups 3/29

Planning:
·         Statistics Assessment: Masters 2/27, Cotton 3/1   Masters concerned about length of the test.   Cotton will go on to Monday if needed.  Goal for students to be 75% or above on the assessment. Includes content from previous units. 

·         Exponential Functions: Where to start? Where to go with it? What activities? Quiz?   Looked at  DCA 3 to Backward Plan our units and what we would like our students to know and where to go with our unit.   Next time:  Write our assessment and backward plan our unit.


Interventions:

·         Viking time - Masters is conducting Systems, y=mx+b, statistics, absolute value,  

·         MAP Interventions - Roy will create reflection sheets as were used in the winter. Cotton is going to do some quick pull outs based on MAP information.  She is going to pull the "yellow" kids. 


·         Skills Data/Progress Monitoring - Go back to 1 after 12 on the probes.

    • 2/26- Review for Common Assessment
    • 2/27-2/28- Common Assessment
    • 2/29- Common Assessment Make Up and (something on the computer- TBD)
  • Week of 3/4- 3/8- Exponential Functions
  • Week of 3/11- Begin sequences

Academics:
  • Created Common Assessment from last week
    • Used questions from district common assessment and added some of our questions
    • Common Assessment is in google drive (Module 3, week 27)

Other:
  • Progress Monitoring is up to date in google drive 
    • Next  one given on 3/1
  • Intervention list was sent to Mrs. Brannock

2/12 PLC

Present: Cotton, Masters, Harper


  • Intervention - Cotton gave Masters two students for Viking Time intervention
  • Calendar Update- continue with statistics unit through February
    • Next week- introduce line of best fit and correlation 
  • Progress Monitoring- give during block days this week since we are out on Friday

- Will create common assessment for statistics unit
